If you ask me, there a couple of things lacking in What's Your Number? : The romance and the comedy. And it's really too bad because Anna Farris and Chris Evans were great in the movie.
The source material and the premise of the film is really a stretch: Ally Darling (Farris) has an epiphany that she has slept with too many men and, thanks to a magazine article, comes to realize that the likelihood of her finding her match is inversely proportional to the number of men she's been. To keep her number from increasing, she seeks out her ex's with the help of her friend Colin (Evans).
See, I told you it's a stretch.
Crippled by the weak premise, the film slogs on through ineffective jokes and resorts to showing off the buff bods of Evans and Farris. I seriously think Anna Farris' cleavage should get mentioned in the film's credits.
What's My Number? is a sexy comedy that doesn't add up: Few laughs plus weak romance equals so-so rom-com.
