Movie Review: Ocean's Thirteen

Danny Ocean's gang is back and going without Tess (Julia Roberts) and Isabel (Catherine Zeta-Jones) may be their best move yet.

The exclusion of the romantic snags of Ocean (George Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) gave more exposure to the rest of the band of con artists. The story was able to build on Linus (Matt Damon) and focus on the teamwork and camaraderie of the group as they operate back in Las Vegas.

The over-all plot is simplistic-- Ocean's group plan a revenge heist, then things go wrong, then things work out after all. It's the glitz and glamor of how things unfold make this movie an enjoyable watch. Director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich) has definitely has gotten the groove of this thing.

While it's hard to imagine what the Danny Ocean and the rest can do after pulling off heists against insurmountable odds, the chances of this author looking forward to Ocean's Fourteen is pretty good.
